Use and Care

• Burn the candle for at least 2 hours upon first use.
• Wooden wicks do not often require trimming, but if your candle begins to smoke, trim the wick to 10mm.
• Once there is less than half an inch of wax remaining, discontinue use and scoop out the wax to upcycle the shell into a planter or storage container

• Repurpose the shell after you finished your candle.
• To do so, use a hair dryer or a heat gun to melt the remaining wax and to remove remaining wick and the metal sustainer.
• Once you have removed the majority of the wax, use hot water to scrub the shell with a sponge to remove the remaining wax.
• After cleaning the shell, you can use it to store many things including, jewellery, keys, pens, any general items and you can even plant some kitchen plants inside.
  Do not use as a bowl to store food or drink, as it is not safe for that.

• Make sure the candles is placed upright, on a stable, solid and heat resistant flat surface.
• Make sure there is plenty space above the candle as the flames might be higher than a conventional candle.
• Do not leave the candle unattended for any period of time.
• Place the candle away from draught, children, pets and flammable materials.
• Always trim the wick and ensure the candle is free from debris and foreign objects before lighting.
• Do not try to move the candle when it is burning.
• Extinguish the flame fully before leaving the room
